Happy Thursday, Scoopers!

We are so back!! Email is coming in a bit late today because, honestly? Mitko tried to write it on Monday night, but I was dead set on getting our Christmas decor set up while spending the evening watching Love Actually.

We decided on Love Actually because it’s not super Christmas-heavy, but is still in the spirit. I always try to keep us on a schedule where the movies get increasingly Christmas-y as we get closer to Christmas.

ALSO, since we’re in the holiday spirit, we just added a bunch of upcoming holiday events to the “Upcoming Events“ section below. Enjoy!!

Today’s email is a 4 min 43 sec read:

  • 🧩 What we learned about Cincy’s mysterious new 3rd space

  • 🗳️ What do the elections mean for Cincinnati?

  • 🎾 A new epicenter for tennis in the city

But first…

🎶 Why Don't We Come Here More Often?

Last month we went to see La La Land live in concert with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) at Music Hall.

The orchestra played perfectly synced live music along with the movie, and the whole time we were both thinking: “Why don’t we come here more often?”

Side note: did you know that if you have never been to a CSO performance you can get a first time ticket for you and a guest for only $10 each? Check out how to redeem here!

They have a ton of fun concerts coming up this season, so here are the ones we’re most excited about:

Hook in Concert: January 2 - 3

A forever favorite, and hearing John Williams’ music played live to this beloved movie will be something so special. Will definitely shed a few tears the second we see Robin Williams on screen.

Stravinsky defied the norms with his music (and was also rumored to have had an affair with Coco Chanel). These two musical icons coming together will be legendary.

Tchaikovsky & Bruckner: Epic Romance February 5 - 6

This is your official sign to bring your significant other (or someone you’re trying to make your significant other) to this. Thank us later.

Not much else needs to be said for this one, but can you imagine that powerful music in Music Hall? Woof.
