🍦We've got some good news...
PLUS City Flea turns 15 with no sign of stopping, new Christmas movie being filmed in the area, a tree-house inspired house, and even more awesome curated events!

Happy Tuesday, Scoopers!
Last week we picked up the first haul of produce from the CSA program we joined this year! We’ve posted about them a couple times already, but we joined through Big Table Farm Co-op for the summer (June - October). Each week we get to go do a pick up of fresh produce that is from local women-owned farms in Cincinnati.
We got kale, carrots, dill, garlic scapes, and a couple other goodies. Spots are full for the summer, but let us know if you want to see the weekly hauls and what we make with them!
Today’s email is 3 min 49 sec read:
🛍️ City Flea celebrates a big milestone birthday
⚠️ Ohio’s new safety alert
☃️ Christmas in June (in Kentucky)
But first…

Last week we launched a new weekly series on Instagram, Good Good Cincinnati, where we’ll share a quick video with 3 pieces of good news in Cincinnati.
We want your good news submissions!
While there is plenty of good news to source in this beautiful city, we want to make sure we’re hearing from you, too.
What we're looking for:
❤️ Acts of kindness, generosity, or community care between neighbors
🏪 Local businesses doing something genuinely good for the city
🌳 Civic wins, neighborhood improvements, or community milestones
✏️ Schools, nonprofits, or organizations making a measurable difference
🦸♀️ Underdog stories, quiet heroes, and things that deserve more attention

🛍️ The City Flea turns 15
Founded by Lindsay and Nick Dewald in 2011, The City Flea is celebrating its 15th anniversary!
What started with just 45 vendors in a parking lot back in 2011 has grown into a can’t-miss event that fills Washington Park with hundreds of local makers and small businesses.
The Dewalds launched the market after being inspired by Brooklyn Flea and it has now become a major gathering spot for shoppers, artists, and vintage sellers.
The City Flea has also become a launchpad for local businesses looking to connect with Cincinnati’s growing urban core.
⚠️ Ohio moves closer to new safety alert
Ohio lawmakers unanimously passed the Joshua Alert, a new emergency system that sends public notifications when a child with autism or a developmental disability goes missing.
The bill is named after Joshua Al-Lateef, a 6-year-old West Chester boy with autism who wandered from home and died in 2024.
Joshua’s mom spent the past year fighting to make this happen.
It now goes to the governor for a signature.
☃️ Hallmark (and Christmas) came early to Kentucky this June
Maysville, Kentucky is about an hour east of Cincinnati and just got a very unexpected makeover.
A Christmas movie called "All the Christmases" is filming downtown, complete with fake snow, holiday decorations, and movie sets taking over the streets in the middle of summer.
Productions like this bring real economic activity to small towns, and for anyone within driving distance, it's a pretty wild thing to go see in person right now.

This is your reminder that Fort Thomas has been quietly winning for years. From the street, this Cape Cod on Ridgeway looks like every other charming house on the block. Inside, it's a whole different vibe.
The star of the show? That treehouse-style deck view straight into Highland Hills Park. Add in hardwood floors, an updated kitchen with a double oven, a heated primary ensuite, and a fully finished walkout basement, and you've got a house that punches way above its $379k price tag. Fort Thomas real estate is having a moment and this one makes the case.

Here are some epic events you can look forward to over the next couple of months! Add them to your calendar now so you don’t forget.
