Cincinnati Music Festival generates $100m+ for local economy, brings a surprise guest
Last weekend over 10K people from all over the country came to Cincy to attend the annual Cincinnati Music Festival.
The Festival was hosted at Paycor Stadium and included musicals like P-Funk Connection, Al Green, and Snoop Dog.

It was estimated that this year’s Festival would generate around $107m for the local economy. While the Festival drew people to the area, the city’s culture kept people here with many visitors deciding to stay longer to explore the culinary, historical, & cultural scene.
But the biggest buzz from CMF wasn’t about the incredible headliners or the revenue it generated for the city, but surprise guest Dave Chappelle who introduced Snoop Dog.
After the last act, Chappelle walked on stage and thanked the crowd for giving him a home where he could live a normal life, and keep his family safe.
“From this state we can change the world” he proclaimed to the thousands of cheering fans.
We agree!

📋 BUSINESS
Queen Billionaire City
SuperCasinosSites conducted research to find where in the country the most self-made billionaires come from.
The site defines self-made billionaires as anyone who made their fortunes without the aid of a large family inheritance.
Of the 724 billionaires in the US, only 422 came up as self-made.
Interestingly, Ohio scored quite high on the “billionaires per state” ranking.
Ohio and California tied for 20th place with 13 billionaires each.
As far as Ohio goes, Cincinnati was the billionaire birthplace of the state with 4 coming from the tri-state area:
Henry Nicholas III ($8.2b) - semiconductor firm Broadcom
Steven Spielberg ($4b) - directing & movie production
August Troendle ($1.8b) - Medpace
Jim Koch ($1.5b) - Samuel Adams beer
In case you’re curious the state that the most billionaires call their birthplace is New York. Not too surprising!
🍦 MINI SCOOPS
🛶 On August 5, about 2,000 kayakers, canoers and paddle boarders will race the Ohio River during this year’s Paddlefest. The Ohio River Paddlefest was established in 2001 and has been recognized as the nation’s largest paddling celebration.
🍩 New gourmet doughnut shop opening in Walnut Hills and will have flavors including Tequila Sunrise, Rasberry Smores, and classic Vanilla Bean. The donuts are made with locally sourced ingredients and are free of preservatives and artificial flavors, and they’re made in small batches throughout the day, meaning you’ll always get a fresh donut.
🏈 Cincinnati Bengals have been crowned the most loyal fan base, winning the title over 31 other NFL teams. This was declared after a sports betting company compared keyword search volume over the last 3 years!
🦍 Gorilla Bachelor Party Arrives at Cincinnati Zoo. Chipua, Pendeka and Konga arrived from the Detroit Zoo earlier this month. They are part of the species survival plan, as there are less than 800 gorillas in zoos worldwide!
