🛒 Findlay Market plans for major upgrade
🎨 30 Cincy creatives get funded
💍 Cincy's newest power couple
But first…

Picture this: it's a warm August evening in Cincinnati. You've got a spritz in hand, great food, and you’re walking through gorgeous flower-lined grounds between matches (and maybe a cute tennis outfit on, too).
That's the Cincinnati Open.
And it's one of those experiences that makes you wonder why you waited so long.
The grounds have never looked or felt better, there's more shade, better food, and two full weeks of matches to choose from so you can pick a day that actually works for your schedule.
It's not about being a tennis fan. It's about having one of the best summer days Cincinnati has to offer.
Side note: we pinky promise you don’t need to be a huge tennis fan to have an incredible time. We didn’t even know how to keep score in tennis when we walked in last year and left as huge fans.
Tickets are on sale now and they go fast.
If you've never been to the Cincinnati Open but have been curious about it, this is your year.

🛒 Findlay market’s $21 million upgrade plan
Findlay Market is Ohio’s oldest public market and one of the biggest community hubs in the urban core, with more than a million visitors every year.
The market just opened a new operations hub called Coughlin Commons, giving vendors extra storage space, community gathering areas, and a behind-the-scenes upgrade.
The market also kicked off a massive $21 million campaign called “Findlay Forward”, which will fund renovations.
Updates include bettering ADA access, upgraded seating areas, improvements to the Race Street Esplanade, and expanded food programs.
The project is focused on helping small food businesses grow while making fresh, local food more accessible for low-income shoppers.
🎨 Cincinnati funded 30 creative projects earlier this year, and the list is worth a look.
Every year ArtsWave runs a competitive grant program open to any nonprofit with an arts project.
This year 93 organizations applied and 30 were selected, which tells you something about the creative energy right here in Cincy.
Thirty projects across Greater Cincinnati are getting funded, including youth filmmaking, adaptive arts, community murals, cultural festivals, free visual arts classes, jazz concerts and more.
This is grassroots arts funding that is reaching neighborhoods and communities that don't always have access, paid for by regular Cincinnatians who donate to the campaign.
⛳️ Cincinnati's public golf courses are getting a major upgrade, and it won't cost taxpayers a dime.
Cincinnati's six public golf courses are making their first major capital investment push in what will be a three-plus year improvement campaign.
The "Better Golf in Progress" campaign brings new cart fleets, upgraded maintenance equipment, modernized facilities, and new irrigation systems to the city's municipal courses.
It’s all self-funded, no tax dollars involved.
Public golf in Cincinnati is very accessible and these courses serve thousands of residents across the city.
💍 New Cincinnati power couple alert
Cincinnati Reds pitcher Andrew Abbott just proposed to former Cincinnati news anchor Lindsay Stone.
Abbott has become one of the biggest young stars on the Reds roster after making the All-Star team last season and earning the Opening Day starter nod this year.
For the last 3 years, Stone was a WLWT News 5 anchor where she covered local news and sports before recently announcing her departure from the station.
And yes, the proposal happened with the Cincinnati skyline and Great American Ball Park in the background.

Tiny but make it iconic. Between the pops of color, checkerboard floors, and retro charm packed into every corner, this Robinwood Ave home feels like a real-life dollhouse in the best possible way.
Proof that small spaces can still have huge personality. Cozy, quirky, and giving “cool friend with impeccable taste” energy.
