You might not know about the strong Cincinnati connection behind Boston Beer Company. Founder Jim Koch's brewing journey actually began right here in Cincinnati, where his family's brewing traditions go back generations. The company may be called "Boston Beer," but the heart of their brewing legacy is pure Cincinnati. Jim's great-great-grandfather was a brewmaster here in the 1800s, and the recipes that launched Samuel Adams were discovered in his father's Cincinnati attic!

We got to experience this connection firsthand last September at Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, where we met Jim Koch in person. What a great experience – Jim poured us beers while sharing stories about growing up in Cincinnati and his genuine love for our city. His passion for community and quality craftsmanship really matches what we're all about at Cincy Scoop.

This year, our partnership highlights one of Boston Beer's newest summer drinks – Sun Cruiser. This refreshing drink is made with real brewed tea, premium vodka, and just enough sweetness to hit the spot at 4.5% ABV. With flavors including Classic Iced Tea, Lemonade + Iced Tea, Raspberry, and Peach, Sun Cruiser is perfect for gathering with friends.
